Mr. William was deaf, but he didn't like people to know. One evening, he invited some friends to dinner. After the meal, as they sat together, one friend told a funny story. Everyone laughed, and Mr. William laughed too. He said, "That was a funny story, but I know a funnier one." So he began his own story. When it ended, everyone laughed louder than ever. Mr. William himself smiled happily. However, he did not know that he had told the very same story his friend had just told.
