A group of businessmen were excitedly discussing television advertising. Since none of them had ever tried it, each had their own opinion.
Just then, Mr. Grey, a car dealer who had once placed an advertisement, walked in.
"What are you talking about?" asked Mr. Grey.
"Does advertising actually work?" one of the businessmen inquired.
"Oh, yes, it works very fast," replied Mr. Grey. "I once advertised for my lost watchdog and offered a $100 reward."
"Did you get your dog back?"
"No," said Mr. Grey. "But that very night, three of my cars were stolen."
