A few years ago, a couple decided to have a night out and called their most trusted babysitter. When she arrived, the two children were already fast asleep.
Later that night, bored, the babysitter wanted to watch TV. Since there was no cable downstairs (the parents limited the children's viewing), she called to ask if she could watch in the parents' bedroom. They agreed.
However, the babysitter had one final request: "Could I cover the clown statue in your room with a blanket? It makes me nervous."
After a moment of silence, the father replied urgently, "Take the children and get out of the house! We'll call the police... We don't have a clown statue."
Tragically, the children and the babysitter were murdered by the clown. It turned out the "statue" was actually an escaped killer disguised as a clown.
