The Ghost in the Rainy Night | 雨夜幽灵

点击查看中英对照

Late in the afternoon, the boys set up their tent in the middle of a field. As soon as they finished, they cooked a meal over an open fire. Hungry and eager, they enjoyed the delicious-smelling food. After a wonderful meal, they told stories and sang songs by the campfire.

Some time later, it began to rain. Feeling tired, the boys put out the fire and crept into their tent. Their sleeping bags were warm and comfortable, so they all slept soundly.

In the middle of the night, a ghost arrived, unseen by the boys. A cool wind blew, carrying sand with it. Darkness enveloped everything. Two secret eyes watched them from the shadows. The ghost extended a shapeless hand and opened the tent door.

At that moment, a boy got up from his sleeping bag and peered out. The cool wind blew, and he was frightened. "Get up! Get up!" he shouted to his friends. The ghost stared back with dark eyes. "Ah!" the boy screamed.
