The Gold Grabber of Qi | 齐人攫金

点击查看中英对照

A man from the State of Qi had an extraordinary love for gold. Visions of piles of splendid gold often appeared before his eyes.

One morning, the man, neatly dressed, hurried to the marketplace. He went straight to a gold vendor's booth, seized the gold, and turned to leave. He was caught on the spot by the patrol.

The patrol could not understand his brazen act of robbery. The man replied, "When I took the gold, I saw nothing but the gold."
