A statesman attended a meeting of a Chamber of Commerce. When he rose to speak, an objection was raised on the grounds that he had nothing to do with commerce.

"Mr. Chairman," an aged member said, rising to his feet, "I believe the objection is not valid. The gentleman's connection with commerce is close and intimate. He is a commodity."
