The crowd at the airport surged forward after a long wait. An elderly man, caught in the rush, fell and struck his head on the concrete floor. Blood gushed from his forehead as he lay unconscious. Everyone hurried past except Dana, who immediately called for help.
A young airline employee arrived but barely glanced at the man. She insisted Dana board her plane, claiming the man would be fine, and then walked away.
Dana refused to leave and screamed for help until an airport supervisor appeared. He also urged her to board, warning that the plane would depart without her. Dana stood firm, declaring she would not move until an ambulance arrived.
Finally, an ambulance with two paramedics arrived. They assessed that the man would be okay but would need stitches before transporting him to the hospital.
As Dana walked to her plane—which was still refueling—she encountered the same employee. "You're lucky the plane didn't leave without you," the employee remarked.
"The plane?" Dana retorted. "Who cares about the plane? How could you be so cold? That was an old man; he could have been your grandfather! How would you like it if everyone just stepped over your grandfather and went on their way?"
