A rich man gave a great feast and invited many friends and acquaintances. His dog took the opportunity to invite a stray dog friend, saying, "My master is giving a feast, and there's always plenty of food left over. Come and have supper with me tonight."
The invited dog arrived at the appointed time. Seeing the grand preparations, he said joyfully, "I'm so glad I came! I don't often get such a chance. I'll eat enough to last me both today and tomorrow."
While he was congratulating himself and wagging his tail, the cook spotted him among the dishes. Seizing him by his fore and hind paws, the cook unceremoniously bundled him out of the window.
The dog fell hard to the ground and limped away, howling dreadfully. His cries soon attracted other street dogs, who came up and asked how he had enjoyed his supper.
He replied, "Well, to tell you the truth, I drank so much wine that I remember nothing. I don't know how I got out of the house."
