It's the Spring of 1957. Bobby, a hip young man with his own car, arrives to pick up his date, Carrie. Her father invites him in and asks about their plans. Bobby politely says they might go to a soda shop or see a movie.
To Bobby's astonishment, Carrie's father suggests, "Why don't you two go out and screw? I hear all the kids are doing it." When Bobby asks him to repeat, the father adds, "Carrie really likes to screw; she'll screw all night if we let her!"
Bobby's eyes light up with anticipation. Soon, Carrie comes downstairs, ready to go. Bobby escorts her out, breathless with excitement.
About twenty minutes later, Carrie storms back into the house, slams the door, and screams at her father, "DAMMIT DADDY! IT'S CALLED THE TWIST!!!"
