An old tiger lived in the forest. He was too lazy to hunt for food and often ordered other animals to bring him meals.
One day, he saw a monkey and commanded, "I'm hungry, Monkey. Go to the village and bring me a fat pig."
"Oh, Tiger," replied the monkey. "I cannot do that. There is another tiger over there who also wants a fat pig. He forbids me from getting anything for you. I am afraid of him."
"What?" roared the tiger. "Show me this tiger! I will teach him a lesson."
"Come with me," said the monkey.
They arrived at a bridge over a river. "Now look down into the water," instructed the monkey. "Do you see the head, the white teeth, and the big green eyes of a tiger?"
"Yes, I do!" cried the old tiger. "I will eat him up!"
"Grr…! So you told Monkey not to bring me anything?! Grrr … I'll kill you!"
With these words, the tiger leaped into the river. He never came out again.
"Ha, ha, ha! Goodbye, Mr. Tiger," laughed the monkey as he went on his way.
