Mountain Yangdu is a sheer and serene, yet inclement place. It is home to black bears.
Black bears have a natural loathing for blood. If a bear is scratched by thorns while crossing a gorge, it will scratch at the wound to remove the bloodstains. Unaware that blood and flesh are inseparable, its scratching only worsens the injury. As more blood flows, the bear tears at its own flesh. Enraged by the unstoppable flow, it continues to scratch violently inward, eventually reaching its own guts, tearing apart its viscera, and causing its own death.
