Henry, an American visiting London on holiday, felt unwell one day. He approached the hotel desk clerk and said, "I want to see a doctor. Can you give me the name of a good one?"
The clerk consulted a directory and replied, "Dr. Kenneth Grey, 61010."
"Thank you very much. Is he expensive?" Henry asked.
"Well," the clerk answered, "he charges two pounds for the first visit and one pound fifty for follow-up visits."
Henry decided to save fifty pence. When he saw the doctor, he announced, "I've come again, doctor."
The doctor studied his face for a moment, then nodded. "Oh, yes." After an examination, he said, "Everything's fine. Just continue with the medicine I gave you last time."
