A villager suffered from a painful sore on his foot that bled and oozed pus. Unable to bear the agony, he moaned incessantly.
He urged his family, "Quick! Chisel a hole in the wall!"
Once the hole was made, he hastily stretched his afflicted foot through it into his neighbor's house.
His family asked, "What is this for?"
He replied, "Let the pain go to my neighbor. This way, no matter how much it hurts, it no longer concerns me!"
