Wan Zhou, the sister of the phoenix, flew directly from the South Sea to the North Sea. On her journey, she would perch on no tree but the parasol, eat nothing but the fruit of the bamboo, and drink nothing but the sweetest spring water.

An owl, who had just caught a mouse, looked up and saw Wan Zhou flying overhead. Fearing for his food, the owl shouted angrily at her, "Hey! Go away! There's no way I'm sharing this with you!"
