Three years have passed since I started college. I hadn't seen many of my high school classmates since we parted after the college entrance examination. So, we decided to have a get-together this summer.
As you can imagine, I could hardly wait for the reunion day. After months of anticipation, 25 former classmates and 3 of our teachers gathered in a small restaurant near our old high school. We were overjoyed to see each other again. Our former Chinese teacher was so moved that he choked up while speaking. With gratitude, we thanked our teachers for their dedication. With great joy, we shared stories from our new college lives. We talked and talked until someone exclaimed, "Oh, it's already 11:30!" Yet, no one wanted to be the first to say goodbye.
I will always cherish this unforgettable reunion in my memory. As time goes by, I know I will make many new friends, but I believe the friendships forged in high school are the purest and most valuable to cherish.
