Long ago, people lived happily in a beautiful world where no one ever fell ill. Among them was a beautiful little girl named Pandora.
One day, a fairy gave Pandora a wonderful box tied with a golden cord, making her promise never to open it. Pandora and her friend Epimetheus often looked at the box, wondering what was inside.
For a long time, Pandora kept her promise. But eventually, curiosity overcame her. She untied the cord and lifted the lid just a little. Immediately, hundreds of wicked little fairies flew out. They stung Pandora, who fell to the floor screaming. They stung Epimetheus too.
The fairies then flew out and stung all the children in the world. Soon after, Pandora heard a small voice from the box saying, "Let me out, and I will help you." She opened it, and out flew a beautiful little fairy named Hope. Hope kissed Pandora and Epimetheus, healing them, before flying away to help the other children.
To this day, when people are sick or unhappy, the good fairy Hope comes to comfort them.
