A village was plagued by a man-eating lion. Its leaders summoned the great hunter, Jonesie, to kill the beast. For nights, he waited in vain. Finally, he asked the chief for a cow's hide. Draping it over his shoulders, he went to the pasture to wait.
At midnight, villagers were awakened by blood-curdling shrieks from the pasture. They approached cautiously and found the hunter on the ground, groaning in pain. There was no sign of the lion.
"What happened, Jonesie? Where is the lion?" asked the chief.
"Forget the damn lion!" he howled. "Which one of you idiots let the bull loose?"
