A man was driving along the highway when he saw the Easter Bunny hopping across the road. He swerved to avoid it, but the rabbit jumped in front of his car and was hit. The basket of eggs scattered everywhere.
The driver, a sensitive animal lover, pulled over. To his dismay, the colorful bunny was dead. He felt guilty and began to cry.
A woman driving by saw him and stopped. She asked what was wrong.
"I feel terrible," he explained. "I accidentally hit the Easter Bunny. There may not be an Easter because of me. What should I do?"
The woman told him not to worry. She went to her car trunk, pulled out a spray can, and sprayed its entire contents onto the little furry animal.
Miraculously, the Easter Bunny came back to life. It jumped up, gathered the spilled eggs and candy, waved at the humans, and hopped away. It stopped 50 yards away, turned, waved, and repeated this twice more.
The astonished man asked, "What in heaven's name is in your spray can?"
The woman showed him the label. It read: "Hair spray. Restores life to dead hair. Adds permanent wave."
