This story about the renowned millionaire John D. Rockefeller was shared by a friend.
Though Rockefeller donated millions, he was frugal with small sums. One day, checking into a New York hotel, he requested the cheapest room available.
"What's the price?" Rockefeller asked. The manager told him.
"Is that your lowest-priced room? I'm alone and only need a small space," Rockefeller inquired.
The manager replied, "That is our smallest and cheapest room." He then added, "But why choose such a modest room? When your son stays here, he always takes our most expensive suite; yours is the cheapest."
"Yes," said Rockefeller, "but his father is a wealthy man; mine isn't."
