One day, a father asked his eight-year-old son to mail a letter. The boy took the letter and ran off. Only then did the father remember that he hadn't written the address or the recipient's name on the envelope.
When the son returned, the father asked him, "Did you put the letter in the mailbox?"
"Of course," the boy replied.
"Didn't you see that there was no address or name on the envelope?"
"I certainly saw that nothing was written on it."
"Then why didn't you bring it back?"
"I thought you didn't write the address because you didn't want me to know who you were sending the letter to!"
