The Meng Jiu is a bird native to the southern regions. It weaves its delicate nest from beautiful, soft feathers and carefully fastens it to the spikes of reeds.
When strong winds blow, the reeds often break, causing the nest to fall to the ground. All the eggs and young birds inside are destroyed. This disaster occurs not because the nest itself is poorly made, but because the reed to which it is attached is too fragile.
