The Goose That Laid the Golden Eggs | 下金蛋的鹅

点击查看中英对照 收藏文章

A man and his wife were fortunate to own a goose that laid a golden egg every day. Despite their luck, they soon grew impatient, feeling they were not getting rich fast enough. Believing the goose must be made of gold inside, they decided to kill it to secure all the precious metal at once. However, upon cutting it open, they found it was just like any other goose. Thus, they neither became instantly wealthy as hoped, nor could they enjoy the daily increase of their fortune any longer.

Much wants more and loses all.
