The Peasant's Sunbath | 田父献曝

A peasant in the state of Song lived in destitution, relying on worn sackcloth to fend off the winter chill.

When spring arrived, he was ploughing in the field. Tired, he rested on the ridge and felt the sunshine was warmer and more comfortable than his worn sackcloth.

Unaware of spacious houses or warm clothes made of silk, cotton, or fur, he was thrilled by his discovery. He said to his wife, "Sunbathing is so pleasant, yet people are unaware of it. I will present this secret to the king. He is sure to bestow many rewards upon me for my loyalty."
