Wei Wenhou's Hunting Appointment | 魏文侯期猎

点击查看中英对照

One day, while drinking merrily, Wei Wenhou suddenly remembered his scheduled hunting trip with Yu Ren, the official in charge of mountains, rivers, and hunting.

Despite the rain outside, he ordered his departure. Seeing him about to leave, a trusted follower asked, "You are in such high spirits, and it's raining. Where are you going?"

Wei Wenhou replied, "I have an appointment with Yu Ren to go hunting today. Even though I am enjoying my drink, I cannot fail to keep the appointment."

He then went to see Yu Ren in person. He explained his joyful mood and canceled the hunting plan.
