A man selected for jury duty desperately wanted to be excused. Despite trying every excuse he could think of, none succeeded. On the trial day, he decided on one final attempt. As proceedings were about to begin, he requested to approach the bench.
"Your Honor," he said, "I must be excused from this trial due to prejudice against the defendant. The moment I saw the man in the blue suit with his beady eyes and dishonest face, I thought, 'He's a crook! He's guilty!' Therefore, Your Honor, I cannot possibly remain on this jury!"
The weary and exasperated judge replied, "Get back in the jury box, you fool. That man is the lawyer!"
