On Mount Chi Cheng, there stood a natural rock bridge, barely a foot wide and slick with moss. Steep cliffs flanked it on both sides, making the crossing perilous.
Yet, a local woodcutter could traverse it with ease, even while carrying a heavy load of firewood on his back.
When asked to repeat the feat as a demonstration, the woodcutter squinted at the daunting bridge and the chasms below. His legs began to shudder, his eyes filled with fear, and all the lightness and confidence he once possessed vanished.
