English Original
There was once a farmer who lived near a quiet road. Occasionally, cars would pass by his farm.
Near the farm gate, there was a large hole in the road. It was always filled with water, so drivers couldn't see how deep it was and assumed it was shallow.
When they drove into the hole, they couldn't get out because it was so deep.
The farmer spent little time working on his farm. Instead, he spent most of his time watching the hole.
Whenever a car got stuck, he would pull it out with his tractor and charge the driver a lot of money.
One day, a driver said to him, "You must make a lot of money pulling cars out of this hole night and day."
"Oh, no," the farmer replied. "I don't pull cars out at night. At night, I fill the hole with water."
