Police officers hear many excuses from people caught parking in spaces reserved for handicapped persons.
Once, an officer stopped a man for doing so. When asked if he knew the parking regulations, the man answered correctly. The officer then asked why he had parked there anyway.
"Oh, I injured my leg last week," the man replied. "The doctor said I might become disabled if I didn't get proper treatment. So, I'm just trying to experience what it feels like to be a disabled person."
