The Deaf Bargainer | 耳聋的还价者

English Original

An old lady, who was quite deaf and always thought everything was too expensive, went into a shop and asked the shopkeeper, "How much is this?"

"Seven dollars, Madam. It's very cheap," replied the shopkeeper.

The lady said, "That's too much. I'll give you fourteen."

"I didn't say seventeen dollars, but seven," the shopkeeper clarified.

"It's still too much," the old lady replied. "Give it to me for five."
