After many months of struggling to make ends meet, a couple decided that the only way to earn extra cash was for the wife to start working as a prostitute.
Early the next morning, the wife returned home looking exhausted and haggard. The husband, feeling guilty, asked how she had done. She replied that she had earned two hundred dollars and fifty cents.
"That's great!" the husband exclaimed. "But who gave you the fifty cents?"
"Everybody," the wife replied.
