Boots Robot |

English Original

One morning, my manager asked me to deliver a heavy water feature.

He said, "This water feature is very heavy. Be careful. I'll find a pair of boots for you. What size do you wear?"

"Size six."

"Okay! Let me go and look."

A few minutes later, he brought a pair of boots to me and said, "I couldn't find a size six, but I found a size nine. They're a little big for you. You can put some tissue paper inside."

"Don't worry!" I took them, put them on, and walked away.

A few hours later, I returned from the delivery and walked into our garden centre with heavy steps.

Everyone laughed at me: "You look like a robot!"

I am 165 cm tall and normally wear size 6 shoes. That day, I was still the same height, but I was wearing size 9 heavy-duty boots. So, I did look like a robot. It's true.

A few months later, our garden centre issued every staff member a new pair of boots in the right size.
