Wanda, a good witch of 221 years, dreamed of becoming a fairy godmother. After 103 years at the Fairy Godmother Academy, she faced her final test: transform the first animal she met into something else. The animal had to be so happy with its new form that it would exclaim, "Oh, happy day! I'm a..." Success meant earning her sparkling pink dress, golden crown, and star-tipped wand. Failure meant repeating all 103 years of school.
Her first encounter was Charley, a little green frog contentedly catching bugs by the pond. Eager to pass, Wanda immediately turned him into a handsome prince. However, Charley was horrified. He missed his frog life—catching flies with his long tongue, seeing in all directions, and sitting comfortably on lily pads. He demanded to be changed back.
Wanda, flustered, claimed to have forgotten the reverse spell. To appease him, she conjured a grand castle and a band of musicians, offering him a life of luxury and entertainment. Charley rejected it all, longing only for his simple frog existence.
In trying to understand his frustration, Wanda remembered the key to the reversal: snapping her fingers. She did so, and Charley was a frog again. Overjoyed, he cried, "Oh, happy day! I'm a frog!"
Wanda accepted her apparent failure, believing Charley's happiness was what truly mattered. The Academy principal, witnessing Wanda's selfless act, decided the outcome was close enough to a pass. The true lesson was thinking of others. With a wave of the principal's wand, Wanda the Witch finally became Wanda the Fairy Godmother.
