English Original
A fox and a leopard were resting lazily after a good meal. They amused themselves by arguing about their looks. The leopard, very proud of his fine coat, declared that the fox's appearance was not as good as his own.
The fox was proud of his own fine tail, but he was clever enough to recognize that his looks were not as striking as the leopard's. "You may have a splendid coat," said the fox, "but you would be far better off with a little more cleverness in your head. That is what I call true beauty."
The story tells us: A fine coat is not always a sign of an attractive mind.
