A crab once left the seashore and settled in a meadow inland. The meadow looked green and seemed a good place to feed. However, a hungry fox came along, spied the crab, and caught him. Just as he was about to be eaten, the crab said, "This is what I deserve. I had no business leaving my natural home by the sea to settle here as if I belonged on land."
