A young writer hoped the editor would accept his novel. The editor, however, said, "You have no reason to ask me to publish your novel. It's not good enough."
The dismayed writer seemed lost in thought for a moment, then replied, "I've enclosed a stamp with each submission for you to return the rejected manuscript. I suppose if you accept my novel, you could keep the stamp."
