Three blondes were vying for the last position on the local police force. The interviewing detective said, "So you all want to be cops?" After they nodded, he pulled out a photograph.
"To be a detective, you must be able to detect," he explained. "You need to notice distinguishing features." He flashed the photo for two seconds in front of the first blonde. "Did you notice anything?"
"Yes," she replied. "He only has one eye!"
The detective shook his head. "Of course he only has one eye! It's a profile picture! You're dismissed."
He then turned to the second blonde, showed her the photo briefly, and asked the same question.
"He only has one ear!" she answered.
Exasperated, the detective said, "This is a profile! You can only see one ear! You're excused too."
Finally, he showed the photo to the third blonde. "Probably a waste of time, but... did you notice anything?"
"Yes," she said. "This man wears contact lenses."
