A man who had traveled abroad returned home and boasted of his extraordinary feats in foreign lands. Among his tales, he claimed to have performed an unbeatable jump in a competition at Rhodes. "Go to Rhodes and ask anyone," he insisted, "they will confirm it."
A listener replied, "If your jump is truly that remarkable, we need not travel to Rhodes to verify it. Let us imagine this very spot is Rhodes. Now — jump!"
