There was a young daughter-in-law who was well-liked by the elderly women in her village.
One night, a large piece of meat went missing from her home. Her mother-in-law suspected her of stealing it and decided to send her back to her parents' house.
The next morning, the daughter-in-law went to bid farewell to all the old women in the village and told them what had happened. They were all indignant upon hearing her story.
One of the women immediately gathered some broken hemp, tied it into a bundle to make a torch, and went to the mother-in-law's house. She asked to borrow some kindling, saying, "Last night, a pack of dogs fought over a piece of meat they had found somewhere. One of the dogs was killed in the fight. I've come to borrow a light to cook the dog meat."
Upon hearing this, the mother-in-law immediately sent someone to bring her daughter-in-law back home.
