The Teacher Cried |

English Original

Six-year-old John was terribly spoiled. His father knew it, but his grandmother doted on him. He hardly ever left her side. When he wanted something, he would either cry or throw a temper tantrum.

Then came his first day of school—his first day away from his grandmother's loving arms.

When he returned home, his grandmother met him at the door. "How was school?" she asked. "Did you get along all right? Did you cry?"

"Cry?" John replied. "No, I didn't cry, but the teacher did!"
