A man who detested his wife's cat decided to get rid of it. One day, he drove the cat 20 blocks away and left it at a park.
Upon returning home, he found the cat already walking up the driveway.
Undeterred, he tried again the next day, driving the cat 40 blocks away. Yet, when he arrived home, the cat was there waiting.
He repeatedly took the cat farther and farther, but the cat always beat him home. Finally, he devised an elaborate route: driving miles away, making multiple turns, crossing a bridge, until he reached a location he deemed sufficiently distant, and abandoned the cat there.
Hours later, the man called his wife. "Jen, is the cat there?"
"Yes," she replied, "why do you ask?"
Frustrated, the man said, "Put that rascal on the phone. I'm lost and need directions!"
