A man calls home to tell his wife he'll be home early. A strange woman answers.
"Who is this?" the confused man asks.
"This is the maid," she replies.
"We don't have a maid," he says.
"I was hired this morning by the lady of the house."
"I told her we didn't need one," the man mutters. "Well, this is her husband. Is she there?"
"She is upstairs in the bedroom with someone... who I thought was her husband."
Realizing what's happening, the man begins to fume. After a moment, he says, "Listen, would you like to make $50,000?"
The maid hesitates. "What do I have to do?"
"Get my gun from the desk and shoot the witch and the jerk she's with."
The maid pauses, puts the phone down. The man hears footsteps, then two gunshots.
She returns to the phone, breathing heavily. "What do I do with the bodies?"
Despondent, the man replies, "Throw them in the swimming pool."
"But you don't have a pool," the maid says, puzzled.
A long pause follows.
Another long pause.
Finally, the man asks:
"Is this 567-5309?"
