A Boeing 747 was flying through the night sky over the Pacific Ocean. The captain's voice came over the loudspeaker: "Ladies and gentlemen, one of our engines has malfunctioned. As a result, we will arrive in Tokyo approximately one hour late."
After a short while, the loudspeaker crackled to life again: "Everyone, a second engine out of our four has now failed. Consequently, our estimated arrival in Tokyo will be delayed by three hours."
