Belief is All You Need |

English Original

A man got lost while driving through the countryside. As he tried to read a map, he accidentally drove off the road and into a ditch. Though unhurt, his car was stuck deep in the mud. He walked to a nearby farm for help.

"Warwick can get you out of that ditch," said the farmer, pointing to an old mule standing in a field. The man looked at the haggard mule, then at the farmer, who simply repeated, "Yep, old Warwick can do the job." Figuring he had nothing to lose, the man agreed. The two men and the mule made their way back to the ditch.

The farmer hitched Warwick to the car. With a snap of the reins, he shouted, "Pull, Fred! Pull, Jack! Pull, Ted! Pull, Warwick!" The mule then pulled the car from the ditch with little effort.

The man was amazed. After thanking the farmer and patting the mule, he asked, "Why did you call out all those other names before you called Warwick?"

The farmer grinned and said, "Old Warwick is almost blind. As long as he believes he's part of a team, he doesn't mind pulling."
