Nasreddin was sawing a branch in his garden while sitting on it. A passerby stopped and warned, "If you keep sawing like that, you'll fall with the branch." Nasreddin ignored him, thinking the man was a foolish busybody.
The man walked on. Minutes later, the branch broke, and Nasreddin tumbled down.
"My God!" he cried. "That man knows the future!" He ran to catch up and ask how long he would live, but the man was gone.
