The Forgotten Lighter |

English Original

Three men won a contest, earning the prize of spending a year in a room with anything they desired.

The first man, who loved sex, was placed in a room with over two hundred women for the year.

The second man, who loved to drink, was given a room stocked with every kind of beer imaginable.

The third man, a smoker, found himself in a room filled with every variety of cigarette.

Just two hours later, they heard the smoker banging on the door. They ignored him, reminding themselves he was committed for the full year.

When the year ended, they released the men. The first man emerged, barely able to walk after his year of indulgence. The second man stumbled out, too drunk to stand.

The third man came out last, weeping.

They asked him why he had been banging on the door and why he was crying now.

He sobbed, "I forgot my lighter!"
