A sailor was the only survivor of a shipwreck.
He remained stranded on a desert island for three years.
One day, he was overjoyed to spot a ship anchored offshore. When a small boat came ashore, an officer handed him a bundle of newspapers and said, "The captain suggests you read about what's going on in the world first, and then tell us if you still wish to be rescued."
