A young man dies and finds himself third in line at the Pearly Gates. St. Peter is on a break, so an angel is handling admissions.
The angel explains to the three newcomers that due to many drug dealers and criminals having sneaked into Heaven, St. Peter has had to tighten the screening process. Each person must state their former occupation and annual salary.
The first man says, "I was an actor, and I earned $1 million last year."
The angel replies, "Okay, you may enter."
He then asks the woman in line. She states, "I earned $150,000 as an attorney."
The angel thinks for a moment and lets her in as well.
Finally, he turns to the third man and asks, "What have you done with your life?"
The man replies, "I earned $8,000 last year..."
"Oh," the angel interrupts. "What did you teach?"
