English Original
In the Amazon rainforest, three explorers—an Irishman, an Englishman, and an American—encountered a tribe. The tribal leader declared they must pass a test involving three caves to traverse his territory.
He led them to the caves and explained: "In the first cave are three bottles of 100-year-old rum, said to be toxic. Each of you must drink one. In the second cave lies a lion with a thorn in its foot; you must remove it. In the third cave is a woman who has never been satisfied; she must be satisfied."
The hesitant explorers proceeded. The American entered the first cave, drank the rum, and died soon afterward. The Englishman drank his bottle, then entered the second cave. Loud commotion and roaring ensued, but he never emerged.
Finally, the Irishman drank his rum and entered the second cave. After initial commotion, a soft purring was heard. He then entered the third cave. Two minutes later, he emerged, looking puzzled, and asked, "Where's the thorn in the woman's foot?"
