Genius at Work | 天才在工作

English Original

Henry Ford didn't always pay attention in school.

One day, he and a friend took a watch apart. The angry teacher made them stay after school as punishment, demanding they fix the watch. Unaware of young Ford's genius, the teacher was astonished when the mechanical wizard repaired it in just ten minutes and went home.

Ford was always fascinated by how things worked. In one experiment, he plugged the spout of a teapot and placed it on a fire. The water boiled into steam, which, with no way to escape, caused the teapot to explode. The blast cracked a mirror and broke a window, leaving the young inventor badly scalded.

Years of curiosity and tinkering ultimately paid off for Ford. He dreamed of a horseless carriage. When he finally built one, he changed the world of transportation forever.
