Coyote and the People | 郊狼与人类

English Original

One day, while Coyote was fishing in a stream, he saw Bear. Bear was very angry because a bee had stung him on the nose.

"I am very hungry," Bear said to Coyote. "The bees did not give me any honey. I will eat you!"

"That is where you are wrong, Bear," Coyote replied. With those words, he slew Bear.

Coyote used Bear's blood to create different Native American tribes. When he was finished, Fox said, "You still have one more area of land left!"

Coyote thought for a moment, then sprinkled rich blood from Bear's heart onto the land by a beautiful river. That is how the nation of tribes was formed.
